Friends of nFold,

Tired of all those confusing TLA's (three letter acronyms) that the software world throws at you constantly? Well, at our seminar next week, on Wednesday 21 June, nFold will reveal all – while seated on a nearby park bench and wearing a suitable trench coat. The plan is to talk about the value chain of your business and the different types of software systems that support it. From CRM to ERP. From CAD to MES. From SCM to SOA. Then we'll chat about all sorts of other interesting things relating to choosing the right software for your business. We might even discuss the weather. We have an exciting programme  planned, not to mention a yummy lunch and tea with biscuits. So why not come along...It's officially your last chance to book!

So book now and you can win a book:

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to going Wireless" by Arthur Goldstuck

The book doesn't have the words 'don't panic' written in green friendly letter anywhere that I've noticed. But it's a great read all the same. And it has nothing at all to do with software. Except that nFold and World Wide Worx are doing some software research together and Arthur kindly donated two copies of his most recent book to me (and by extension, a copy to you).

So the XYZ of software acronyms is that there are lots of them. And they keep changing. But we're really good translators; even if we say so ourselves. Not quite as convenient as the 'babelfish' invented by Douglas Adams in his "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", but just as effective.

Focusing on the lighter side of software matters for managers, this newsletter is released every few weeks and should not take more than a minute to read.

Till next time, keep smiling :-)
