COVID-19 Corruption – 14 October 2020

Should the tender system be re-examined following PPE corruption?

Corruption allegations linked to the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) have once again put a spotlight on the country’s tender system.
According to Auditor General Kimi Makwetu, politically connected individuals and businesses were awarded lucrative deals amounting to billions of rands.
