APMPAPMP SA AGM and Micro Certifications
On 26 January 2023, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals of South Africa (APMP SA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM). As a professional body that works for its members, it is an important date to get together and ensure the chapter delivers value to members. It is a time for the member community to have a voice in how the chapter is run.
As a profession, we have made great strides in growing recognition, but we still have a way to go, especially in South Africa.
Great Proposal Professionals are sought-after roles, and South Africa is starting to realise this, but will it be too late before all our experienced bid managers get headhunted overseas?
Key areas the committee and members need to drive this year are growing membership and recognition around APMP and our profession. As a non-profit, generating revenue from sponsors and conferences is a must.
New committee
The 2023 committee comprises a wonderful team of proposal fanatics committed to the profession. The group brings exceptional bid manager experience, skills, and fresh ideas.
