Is fasting applicable and beneficial to bid managers?
Fasting means to willfully go without something in some way. Typically, people abstain from food, but it could also be from other things that stand in the way of achieving goals.
Would it be permissible to stretch the definition of fasting? For example, is fasting applicable and beneficial to bid managers? Let’s consider some fasting we may benefit from:
- Sorry, I can’t. I am fasting from responding to unqualified opportunities.
- Not today, I am fasting from proposal cloning.
- Thanks, but no, I am fasting from must-win last-minute opportunities that were found in newspapers.
- That sounds great; however, I am fasting from starting executive summaries with a company profile.
There must be hundreds more that we can – and should – fast from. Why not add yours to the list?
